Stewarding Wisdom, Shaping Character - “Stewarding Others’ Stories” (Proverbs 18:2-8)
Why does it seem like the best-tasting food is always bad for you? Those small moments of pleasure can lead to excess weight and serious health issues. Yet resisting them—especially in the moment—isn’t easy.
The same is true of gossip. In the moment, it feels exciting and satisfying, but it can cause lasting damage to our lives and relationships.
This Sunday morning at Maple Hill, we’ll explore how to deny ourselves the fleeting pleasure of gossip—both speaking and listening—so that our words build up rather than tear down the people around us.

Window Cliffs near Silver Point, TN.
This is a 5.3-mile out-and-back trail and one of the more challenging trails we do, with 18 creek crossings and offering some great views. Meet at the building at 9 AM. Bring lunch and water. The sign up sheet is at Members’ Connect Center.
